A few announcements

To all my fellow team members and those of the public reading this. I bring to you some very good news.

First of all. It is with great pleasure that I announce our new APB server. This server is being funded completely by me alone right now, but I've managed to get us a stable server that runs quite well IMO. Our public server channel is #NXwolf-APB on the MP IRC server. It will soon be added to the APB server browser window as well. For now, you can add it to your browser list under the IP 62.212.66.163:2424 The server has not been setup for many things yet and some key commands are still bugged atm, so please, don't complain about any issue's. They are being fixed and will soon have a fully functioning server. This is a 24/7 20 player server, so please do join and have some fun. PS: No moderators have been setup yet for the server aside from myself. This will be fixed soon and rules on this server will be the same as that of MP-Gaming. Do not break them.

Next is a promotion I'd like to announce. We all know the kind of issue's this team has been having and it brings me great pleasure to offically promote Boris to 2nd in Command of Team =NX=. Over the past 2 days, boris and I have been chatting about potential things we can do to increase the activity in this tea, and so far we are doing great with the addition of an APB server. That means gear up boys and girls, for it's time to start some trainings once again.

Now, the news everyone has been waiting for for a long time now. IT'S TIME FOR A CLAN WAR!!! I have declared a battle against [SG]. It is not offical yet as we need to discuss some things first. Expect a topic after this in the APB div forums for battle discussion. It's time to show the community that clans can be active!

XFire Abandoned

Forum Updated

Today I decided to upgrade the forum to the latest beta version of IP.Board (dubbed 3.1 Beta 1).

Some things that have changed:

Twitter Connect: We're now using the new login method known as Twitter connect. This means that anyone can connect their twitter account with their forum profile. It also means that if you have a twitter account but no forum account, new guests can login using their twitter account.
Facebook Integration: IP.Board 3.1 introduces more Facebook integration compared to last version. It also makes use of Facebook's latest API changes.
OpenID Authentication: The once-broken open-id Authentication from IP.Board 3.x series was fixed (to my knowledge) in IP.Board 3.1. You can now use your OpenID (various vendors) to login to our website/forums.
Search Optimization: Instead of having numerous locations to search the forum (e.g. if you remember the old "search this forum" option at the bottom of the topic list); this is now at the top of the board in the header.
Ad Code Integration: A favorite among myself and psych. This means that we don't have to install modifications to have ads on our website. I can finally just pop in ad code into the settings area and it'll populate on the forum.
Updated Gallery: Not sure what all changed here honestly. Guess you'll just have to explore the gallery a bit to find out.
Profile Updates: You can now take control over your profile customization 100% and restyle it to your liking. (e.g. Add background image, etc)
Share This!: You also will notice some new buttons to posts.

New Team Server

After a long time in talking to Zunnie, he has offered us a server at no charge. Currently, it is a 20 player server. After a successful test run of the server yesturday on Soviet invasion and amoung other things, it is now offically online minus some setup issue's I'm having.

To join our server, use the following IP and port. 78.46.83.213:1234

I will be posting rules soon for public players and at some point, a rules post for =NX= members only. It is my intention's that all =NX= member's will have some form of moderating abilities, but ANY abuse of these will result in that being taken away. Any question's, wait to ask until after I create the rules topics.

For now, enjoy the server. it is currently setup with about 1 hour per map, 500 starting creds, and crates are enabled. At some point, a ranking system will be added as well.

APB now on European server!

A Path Beyond has been using the Dallas, US server for some time now. This server was rented by reb00b, but he is unable to continue paying for it.

zunnie has now activated the new server in Frankfurt, Germany. For those of you that play APB in or near Europe, you can expact a massive ping reduction. For those of you that either live in the US or far away from Europe, your ping will be fairly higher than before.

The Frankfurt, Germany APB 34 player server is now using this IP, which you need in order to join the official server.

Attention Team!!!

This is to my fellow team members. Many of you may have noticed some unusal things going on recently and I would like to explain all this.

To start this off. I have a Promotion and a Demotion to make.

It is with sad news that I announce psych787 is no longer 2nd in Command of Team =NX=. psych787 has served this team for a long time now and will continue to do so as my Executive Officer. This demotion is for reason's that I deem needed to provide more balance within the staff. With this change, psych essentially holds everything he did before, just in the event of my sudden absence without notice, he will no longer become acting Supreme Commander. This role is now going to slide over to Genesis2001, but ONLY if it is a sudden disappearence. If I take an LOA, I will select any one of my staff members to fulfill my role for the duration I am gone instead of having one default person.

With that out of the way, I will give you guys some good news. During the past weekend, it has been under discussion as to who will help Voekov out and become 2nd in command of the APB Division. It is with great honor that I promote Boris to 2nd in Command of the APB Division. With this promotion, Boris will be able to take direct control over trainings and other division related events in the absence of upper level staff. Boris has shown a great sense of desire to help this team grow and so now, he has been granted that chance to do such. Do us proud Boris!

Now, onto a more depressing concern. Many of you may have noticed that Voekov posted a resignation thread a few days ago. Long story short, we hit up on some arguments in a staff meeting and things did not turn out to well. Both sides (including myself) over reacted and things got out of control. Voekov has decided to stay with the team and continue to lead the APB Division. To announce his decision, Voekov will be replying to this topic with a statement explaining what happened.

This weekend we ran through some VERY stressful loops and we need each and every member to play their role in this team and work with us by being open about their problems. Do not try to hide them, my door is always open and we can work things out. All I ask from everyone is that you trust me and come to me when you have issue's as we can work things out. If you don't come to me, things like what happened this weekend could happen again.

That is all I have for now and I will be posting more news hopefully next weekend after we have another staff meeting.

Oxi Clan Stats System

If you want to be part of our clan's APB stats on the MP server, you will need to use a registered IRC nickname on matching your ingame nickname. As this also means the "=NX=" tags will not work with the new stats system, please use plain "NX" at the end of your nickname.

After you have a registered IRC nickname matching your ingame nickname, you will need to contact NX01class, or psych787 while in the #mp-apb channel to accept an invitation.

Alp Promoted to Executive Officer

Alp has long been taking an active role in keeping Team NX above water. He's brought at least half a dozen high-quality recruits, lead a section superbly both in and out of game, and had the right ideas at the right time under fire.

With this promotion, Alp has the official authority to always turn those ideas to practice.

Congratulations Alp, your efforts are not going unappreciated. Good luck.

November 17th marked yet another birthday here in =NX=. The most important birthday of all because it broguht it us together. Yes, Team =NX= is now 3 years old.

It has been an honor for me to serve as your leader for these past 3 years and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone (current, former, and non) members of Team =NX= for all your support during these years that we have been alive. Through this past year, we have nearly went down the drain, lost valuable members and good friends, and countless other battles, but even though we struck all these dangers, we all pulled together with the support of our friends and have managed to live yet another year.

Congratulations Team =NX= and may many more years shine upon us in the future.
